Meet Your Provider!

Ericka Latham, MA, LPC, NCC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado. I earned my masters in clinical mental health counseling from Adams State University in 2020. I became a National Certified Counselor in 2022. I have worked in the mental health field since 2017. Currently, I work with adults of all ages and support anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. Learning to stop avoiding, denying, and struggling with inner emotions and accept that these deeper feelings are appropriate responses to certain situations that should not prevent people from moving forward in their lives. I strive to provide a safe space for people to explore thoughts, feelings, and make meaning of their relationships and experiences. I will do my best to provide comprehensive therapeutic services, and with that, I may suggest alternative interventions, supports, or treatments that could be helpful to people. It is essential that I provide information about additional services that clients could seek both inside and outside of therapy.

Certification and Trainings

  • National Certified Counselor (NCC) certification represents a mastery of counseling knowledge and skills by completing a graduate degree from an institutionally accredited or Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) counseling program, passing a national examination, the documentation of work experience and supervision requirements, and subscribing to the highest ethical and practice standards.

  • More than 50% of people are affected with challenges related to sex. No matter the age, sexual orientation, or sexual concern, sexuality should play a positive role in a peoples lives and relationships.

  • Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) work with both the rational side of the brain and the emotional side to reduce distress with anxiety, phobias, social anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and acute stress reactions.

  • ACT foundations emphasize mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral change strategies to assist people struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and personality disorders.

  • EMDR Therapy targets the root cause of the problem, facilitating lasting change that reaches into every aspect of a person's life. The result is not only the elimination of symptoms and triggers, but also a more positive, adaptive shift for people in their behavior, confidence, and self-regard.

  • There is a vast silence around the challenges of pregnancy, miscarriages, and infant loss in our society. Pregnancies carried to term bring adjustments, changes, and challenges. However, there are numerous ways that pregnancy can result in tragedy. While it may be tempting to see these as rare events that people are unlikely to encounter, it is much more likely that people already have or will experience a pregnancy or infant loss.

  • Since the pandemic started in 2020, distance therapy services have gained traction and is able to reach more people and provided quality care. This training provided a complete walkthrough of the whole process. In addition, it provided information regarding legal and ethical concerns, such as privacy and security.

  • When it comes to dieting, food and weight, what we say, what we do, and even what we think affects ourselves and others. Diet culture has been passed down through generations. Exploring diet culture and the impact it has on someone’s life is essential to challenge weight-stigma and learn healthy ways to approach concerns.
